The Johanna Dwyer Women in IP Award

The Johanna Dwyer Women in IP Award is an annual awards program that aims to encourage and support women interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property.

The program stems from QipWorks founder Johanna Dwyer’s belief that supporting women interested in careers in IP will benefit the industry, bringing greater diversity of experiences.

It also reflects the core values of QipWorks, where transparency, honesty, education and collaboration are embedded in the culture. QipWorks aims to recognize the potential and ability in people and give them the opportunity to learn, grow and achieve.

Applications for the second annual Johanna Dwyer Women in IP award will be accepted from January 1 to May 1, 2019, and the winner will be announced on August 1, 2019. The application form will be available on January 1, 2019.

Recipients are given a one-time $10,000 award toward the enrollment in a full-time or part-time accredited education program in pursuit of a career in IP. They may also participate in a paid internship opportunity at QipWorks.
